What are you taking for supplements?
In my plans and programs, I tend to favor whole food. Supplements are great, but you don't need to break the bank and buy every product possible. In my plans, I do advise the following -
? A solid greens powder or juicing daily
? Whey protein or plant based protein
? Glutamine for recovery
? A good quality multi-vitamin
? Omega 3 supplements
If you live in certain climates, Vitamin D is also a great idea.
Again, supplements should compliment food. Adding things like pre-workouts are fine too, but very individual to the person.

The key with back training is the mind/muscle connection. Squeeze! Don't use your arms to cheat the weight up. When you get to biceps after training back, you should be nice and warmed up.

Do you like to train on vacations, or do you rest and take it easy?
Let me know, I'm curious! What I will say, if you rest and take it easy, by all means enjoy. You won't lose your muscles or progress in a matter of days. Sometimes, you may begin to feel "flat," but that's simply being out of the gym, and not having movement to your muscles.

The low row. One of my favorite back machines! ??
When done correctly, you get to pinpoint essentially every muscle in your upper back from a unique angle. And if you're following my other posts, you know I believe in different angles to stimulate growth!
If your gym has this machine version, you can either position your hand on the top part of the handle, or down low. Both work great, just more variation. And if you're also wondering, you can operate the machine with both arms working simultaneously, or independently. I prefer to do each side independently as I feel I can focus on the contraction (the squeeze) better.

? One of my favorite bicep exercises - alternating bicep twist curl.
It'a pretty simple, but the key is the "squeeze." Don't just sling it up, using momentum. You see this done wrong all the time in the gym. Slow, steady and controlled is the key to making this exercise work!

Did you know it takes a deficit of 3,500 calories to burn a pound of fat? That means if you're consuming 2,000 calories a day, and your daily requirement is 2,500 calories, you can assume you'll lose 1 pound of fat a week.
Now, there are other variables that can come into play here. Activity level, how long you've been dieting, stubborn genetics. But when building a nutrition plan for weight loss, this is a great rule and numeric starting point to work with.

The key to making progress as a beginner in the gym is to master the basics and become a pro at them. And by doing this,, you’ll need to build a base level of strength that improves your physique, health, and fitness. However, in order to advance and continue progressing in the gym after you're no longer a newbie, your muscles need new stimulus. And when it comes to stimulating your muscles, you need to hit them from different angles and variety.
