Looks a bit like cantaloupe, on the inside...a giant pear on the outside, have you ever tried a papaya? This tropical fruit is full of wonderful enzymes, and even the seeds have health benefits but they taste terrible 🤣

The sheep have decided they're not to be outdone by the goats, and lambing season has commenced. I managed to welcome the first little tyke into the world then let mama finish up delivering the second one in peace in the barn out of the wind. Luckily for them, the weather is warming up and grass is starting to grow.

I've been under the weather for a bit, so I apologize for the limited posts recently. I found a deal on a case of random mixed variety organic apples from Azure. I haven't any idea what variety this is but what a surprise inside! Tasty too! Beau got groceries tonight and surprised me with a new cheese to try ...I don't think I've tried anything truffle before. It was delicious!! I've also got some fine raw milk cheddar to try tomorrow 😋

I have to say, the noises emanating from the greenhouses is pretty spooky....like a haunted show. The vents moan and squawk, the plastic flaps and crashes in the wind, voices and doors opening or closing echoes through distorted.
Yesterday 5 of us potted about 1500 flower baskets....it was so nice with the sun shining in we had the doors open and shed the layers. Today is colder so the jacket is staying on.
We use a drinking straw to help get the plants out of the trays. Saves the fingers and fragile plant stems.
Photoshoot in the snow just to give an idea how deep the drifts around the farm got! Leggings, boots and a coat cause it's in the single digits...brrrrrrr! 🥶
