Chop Chop, quick edit before I crash for the night. This edit mainly utilizes the pen tool in Photoshop. It's basically impossible to get precise cutouts without it, anyone who says they can do it with a selections is lying. I also extract shadow data from the original pill photograph by desaturating the photo, boosting the white values, then multiplying the layer in the blending modes. Pill designs were done by using a sensitive content logo directly from instagram, then using bevel and emboss. Finally, I adjusted colors using Exposure plugin for photoshop. Pretty simple edit overall, it just requires a good eye for composition and it will take a couple hours to hunt down the right photo to fit over the image and look good. The pill photo was taken from Pexels (CC0). The overall edit was about about an 1 hour and 45 minutes, the majority of the time is spent cutting shit out.
