Just got home from helping a buddy clean up his yard… a little beer buzzed n my oral fixation is kickin… never really do this but I’m feelin dumb so how about I knock out the oral fix on a live stream… gotta shower and grub real quick then we’ll see ya on here 😈
Gmorning. We are good. Fam is all good. Power just came back on already. We had a tornado outbreak from outter bands yesterday. 160 tornado warnings in a 3 hour span. At least 45 confirmed on the ground. We watched a tornado drop outta the sky right in front of us. Grabbed dogs and jumped in closet. We lost some trees but the core missed us by 50 yds. Our neighbors houses got hit. My brother to the south of us saw a tornado that did major damage to his neighborhood. B’s fam saw one in their hood. His sister at her place. My dad bud got one in his hood. My cousins barely missed one. Our friends up the road saw one and their neighbor’s house is GONE. Our other buddy saw one go right by his house… It was insanity… Typically, we may get one or two tornados spin up from a tropical storm/hurricane… but they are usually very small and short lived… but some of these tornados were large and on the ground for miles. At one point, there were 5-6 tornados simultaneously on the ground within like a 30 mile radius of each other. The tornado that formed by our house went on to grow into a massive tornado that killed 4 people right up the road. Never seen anything like it in my life. But like I said our immediate crew is safe thank goodness. Going to get outside now and clean up, and then I’ll spend the weekend playing content catch up. We’ve got several things to share with you. Thanks for all the good vibes yall… (ps- models sniffing out ANOTHER potential storm next week… just say it ain’t so!!!!!!)
Gmorning again… When you grow up in Florida, you tend to become a bit of an amateur tropical meteorologist… so they’ve been sniffing this thing out for a week now… a low pressure system in the pacific crossing over Mexico and popping into the Gulf… There’s lots of wind shear (no bueno for development), so up until yesterday, all the models suggested a depression or MAYBE a tropical storm at best… essentially, lots of rain… nothing too crazy…. But now here we are this morning, and that low pressure system decided to spin up as soon as it jumped into the Gulf… and now ALL the forecast models are showing a major hurricane Wednesday-Thursday crossing west to east across the state… a stronger storm gets pulled further north, weaker storm will stay further south… but either way, it’s a weird/rare set up for a storm to move directly west to east over Florida like this. Wilma in 2005 did the same and it was bad… so I’ve got some new content I’ll try to get wrapped up n posted in the next couple days- then it’s looking like it’s gonna be all hands on deck again…. Just hoping the wind shear takes its toll and kills this thing, but we’ll have to wait and see what it does in the next couple of days… the models were pretty spot on for Helene this far out :/

Ok finally wrapped up with post storm work. Underestimated how long it was gonna take me to clear downed trees n stuff. But hey 2 days of chainsawing and hauling trees is nothing compared to what other folks are dealing with… They’ll def be retiring “Helene” from the hurricane names list… I hope everyone here made out alright… I’m excited to get home to bb and the other two pups ughhh can’t wait
I noticed one of the limbs I was cutting had a scar in it that looked like a sea shell. I was able to make 4 cuts before the scar blurred out. I’ll sand down a bit smoother so they can be used as coasters for hot plates n casseroles n shit… i thought itd make a cool gift 🤷♂️

Almost 7 AM here sun just coming up. My people are safe. Power out all over. I’m 5 miles east of cedar key. Trying to get in right now. The entire town has been devasted by 9 feet of storm surge
Got a few more hours of work then hopefully can get an hour or two of sleep before this thing rolls ashore. Trying to get this satellite thing working in case (when) cell service goes out. Otherwise pretty much all set. Nelly jelly belly butt along for the ride
Made it back to FL. Some of yall may remember I was wanting to find a little skiff, so I could lend a hand in situations like this… well, here we are. I just need to scoop a battery and change the prop… Will find time tomorrow… need some rest now. Hitting road crack of dawn… picture I took of B less than 36 hours ago… it was 60 degrees… fall foliage… s’mores… the whole nine yards…. now it’s 85 n humid and we’ve got a hurricane on the door step… life’s a trip!! Hey Gmorning crew. We’ve got a nasty storm brewing in the Caribbean, south of Cuba right now. Forecast models are showing a major hurricane pushing ashore on Thursday, somewhere in the big bend area on FL’s gulf coast. Ive got fam up that way that could really use a hand. We fly back home crack of dawn tomorrow. That means I’ve got to pretty much step off the plane and start driving north immediately. I’ll work on this new fourwheeler vid for yall asap- I just wanted to give you a heads up I may be outta pocket for a few days. Fingers crossed this thing doesn’t actually blow up… we’ll see how it shakes out in the next 48 hours

It’s been a minute since we found time/good weather to get offshore, just the two of us… Radar finally looked good this morning, but we still took our time getting out the door … had coffee with the dogs… moseyed offshore around 8:30am… Got to 3-400 ft of water by 9am. Hooked up on all 4 lines by 9:05... Trolled just another hour before we filled the box with mahi… Got tangled up. Went for a swim. Moseyed back in… Fish cleaned, boat cleaned, bodies cleaned by 2pm… fridge full of mahi with plenty to share with fam… and I’ve got a lot of fish/fun video to share with you all 💪
A good sweat and a good read… my kinda off day… Gonna head home and cook up some fresh snook that B caught with his pops last night... 31” slot. First snook of the season! *Happy Hump Day crew. Had my Iowa buddies in town for a few days. Got them out on the boat. Choppy offshore, so we didn’t fish a whole lot, but we had a great time as always… hunting season right around the corner again… Is it just me or is this year flying by?!
Other updates: Nelly Jelly Belly Butt just got fixed, so she’s sporting her giant cone for the next week… she’s finally house-trained and not destroying everything in sight, so that’s nice… Garage project coming along 😏…. I’ve also got a few outdoor videos that I’ve gotta clip up and post for yall… We’re making some other moves, but that’s about all I’ve got to report for right now… have a good rest of ur day. Lemme know how yall like the vid… I dig the sky view*

(4:20) I tweaked my lower back the other day, so I’ve been taking my time stretching every morn… Here’s 4 minutes of stretches that you can follow along with me to loosen things up in your lower back… Be careful at 2:45- it puts a lot of strain on your legs if you don’t stretch your legs ahead of time… I preach stretching/yoga to everyone. You don’t gotta spend a ton of money on yoga classes or go to a fancy studio… You can watch some YouTube vids to learn a few basic stretches or watch me (disclaimer: everything I’ve learned is just from what I’ve picked up from friends/yourtube)… 5-10 minutes in the morn makes a world of difference.
