Life update!

I’ve had a few days with my best friend in Sweden and now I need to find a van asap so I have a vehicle and somewhere to stay for the European trip which starts mid June!

Next event is Backyard Battle at Vero and Sam’s - so on the 5th of June, I’ll fly to Wales for 10 days there before flying back to Sweden and driving down south ☺️

Friday in Cairns! I visited Hartley's Crocodile Farm today and learnt a lot about crocs 🐊 I have been touristing a lot on this trip, which is not usual for me, but I booked some extra days to explore this area as I've never been here before!

Some facts:
🐊 Freshwater Crocodiles and Saltwater Crocodiles can both live in fresh and saltwater, but they both prefer freshwater.
🐊 Crocodiles are cold blooded so they don't need to eat so much, of course it's size dependant but 1/2 a chicken a week is enough for most of them but the biggest one here eats 5 chickens a week.
🐊 The temperature the eggs are at decides the gender of the crocodile. At 32 degrees C, they are born male and temperatures above and below that they are born female.
🐊 Crocodiles can live up to 70 years old
🐊 Crocodiles have been on this planes for 200 Million years
🐊 Crocodiles are known for having the strongest bite force in the animal kingdom, with saltwater crocodiles boasting the highest recorded bite force of 3,700 PSI

2nd at Cairns Whip Off 🩶🌴 second ride on this bike and ohhhh shit it feels so good! The TR11 feels shorter than previous bikes I’ve had so it’s easier to swing the back out. I did bottom out the 490lb spring when I landed deep so I will have to get a stiffer spring. But honestly I am mind blown how good it felt straight away.

Landed in Cairns! The flight was delayed and now I’ve waited..

Landed in Cairns! The flight was delayed and now I’ve waited 45 minutes for a cab because when you’re traveling with bikes, you won’t fit in an Uber or in most cabs. This makes me appreciate traveling without a bike so much BUT it’s always worth the hassle! 😅 anyway it’s 1.30AM here now and I’m at my hotel, ready to sleep 😴

For me this is the hard part about being away from home for a long time! My ducks are my favorite thing in the whole world and I will miss them so much and I feel really bad leaving them for such a long time but my friends are looking after them and they will have the best time.

The very FIRST ride on my new bike! One lap down Skyline in Queenstown to try it out and it's so good! For bike park, I didn't feel a huge difference to the Tues apart from that this one felt better on the tech, way smoother but that's 100% the suspension set up as it was a bit softer than I normally run it. But it is the nicest looking bike I've had! It's packed now and next ride will be Whip Off in Cairns!
