Today’s easy music lesson is about rhythm.
1.Beat: The steady pulse in music. Tap your foot to feel it.
2.Note Values:
•Whole Note: 4 beats
•Half Note: 2 beats
•Quarter Note: 1 beat
•Eighth Note: 1/2 beat
3.Simple Exercises:
•Clap along to your favorite song, focusing on the beat.
•Try counting out loud while clapping different note values.
Trying for yourself!😍
Pick a simple song and try to identify the rhythm. Clap along, paying attention to how the notes fit within the beat. Enjoy making music!😘

2024-09-08 01:37:33 +0000 UTC View PostNotice how there are numbers above the chords in this progression? It’s using a tool called the Nashville number system. Basically, each chord in a scale is numbered so we know which is major, minor, and diminished. It makes it extremely easy to change keys or jump in with other musicians!
2024-09-06 13:54:54 +0000 UTC View PostEver wonder what the clip on the neck of someone’s guitar does? It’s called a capo and it’s used to change the pitch of the guitar so you can play open chords starting on any part of the neck! Happy jamming 😚

2024-07-10 16:23:57 +0000 UTC View PostSometimes I like to stack chords on each other to into a completely different chord with a unique sound. Here’s an example of a Gm and Dm I stacked together to create some sort of Bb major chord that is going to fit beautifully into any jazz or R&B progression in the key of F. Happy jamming☺️
