Alright people. Let’s talk about Objectum Sexuality or Objectophilia. I remember years ago on the show “My Strange Addictions” , there was a man who was in love with his car. I wasn’t sexually explorative at the time and could not fathom how a grown man was making out with his car on the tv in front of me. I honestly couldn’t believe it so I let it go and never thought of it again. While researching kinks this last week, I came across exactly what this man was experiencing. It’s called Objectum or Object Sexuality, and it’s when you are in a romantic or sexual relationship with an object, or it can be when you experience sexual attraction to inanimate objects. It’s comparable to humans either dating other humans or just being attracted to them. The tv made it seem like this was something that made you out of touch with reality. But think about it. How many THINGS are you attracted to?? You may be attracted to sex toys such as handcuffs, sex swings, rope, dildos, strap ons, or vibrators. You may be attracted to shoes and feet and shoes on feet or socks or lingerie! You may be attracted to a sex doll or a pocket pussy. The list of “normal” things to be attracted to goes on and on. There’s people who push the “normal” narrative, and they fall in love with other things. There’s a woman named Erika Eiffel who appeared on Good Morning America and even the Tyra show who had committed herself to a life of love with the Eiffel Tower. She had other relationships with objects too. She had a 20 year relationship with the Berlin Wall which inspired the musical theatre production “Erika’s Wall”. The relationship with her competition bow pushed her to become a world class archer. She’s had many other relationships with objects over the years, and she claims they can end in pain just like a human to human relationship. There are psychologists who say that developing a relationship with an object can be a direct result of past sexual trauma, but there is no evidence to support this claim. It does make me wonder tho💭 Although I have never been in a relationship with an object and don’t plan on it, I’ve definitely been attracted to objects in the past! I’ve had outfits that made me wet, art that’s made me twitch and pillows that have made me cum harder than any vibrator.
