So here’s a question for you (and maybe especially any geologists here!). I really want a rock tumbler and although I’ve seen some online (and popped one in my Amazon list for keeping an eye on). I quite sincerely have no idea what I’m looking at to what’s best - rubber? Plastic? Dual/single? Huh 🙃

Hello my angels 💕 I have really poor signal here, I’m sorry! These three little photos have even taken about 12 minutes to upload (I was mortified enough to time it!)! Dang! However, I’m here safe and sound and enjoying a 12 yr Bowmore bought for me for my birthday by my nearest and dearest 🥃 peated islay- can’t go wrong!
I’m sincerely trying to load messages but it is taking a rootin tootin while! 😩 I’ll keep trying!
So far it’s hailed, gone sunny, belted down with rain, looked like it would never show the sun ever again, then sunny with a gorgeous golden hour amongst the trees right outside again! So 😎 shades on, hottub time! Get some stargazing on 😌✨xxx

Trying to celebrate a successful 4-hour bike ride in the trees (didn’t fall off!) with a glass of noisy-hen-night-juice but alas, I always struggle to open them because of my weak useless hands 😂 (I struggle to open even ordinary water bottles too! Hey hey my name is Mel and when I measure an order before cutting it- I measure it twice, then cut it. Then I measure it again, and magically, it is 3cm out 🙃
I used to class myself as one of those “cut first measure later” people but actually I have a worse habit- I measure, get my numbers muddled up, then ruin everything 😂 I refuse to believe I’m alone in that here? 😅

This is my favourite “bit” of the unfinished workshop at the moment but only while I haven’t been greedy the previous day and drank all the dolce gusto espresso when working and forgotten to replace them 💔🙃 (actually, has anyone tried those refillable Nescafé machine pod things before? Do they work?).
Today I’m finishing an L shaped larch shelf to go above the fish tank, but because I spent SO long meticulously making sure it is a 90degree L shape; double-checking everything before cutting and glueing etc... naturally, all my efforts mean it is more like 75degrees at best 🤣 what on earth! I have serious impairment for measuring things?! All those inches makes a girl lose her sensibilities ey 🤭

I’m testing out how useful this hammer is at pulling my clothes off so that you have both free hands to wander 👐🏻
I’m also finishing up a drip tray... thing! for my leaky espresso machine. I’m going to have to go nuts with the shellac and lawyer as in my infinite wisdom I made it out of porous pine when I have some perfectly good sassy oak 🙃

It’s getting absolutely roasting in here now the weather is getting better! 🥵 habitually I’m still turning on the heater as soon as I get in though, and it’s boiling hot!
I’m not tinkering for too long in here as I’m waiting inpatients for a very cute lingerie set to arrive 🤭 I am one excitement notch away from sitting in the bedroom bay window like a dog and barking at any promising signs of a postman 👅
