Spent the morning trying to tweak my vtuber model with my new camera setup. So if you kept up to date on twitter you will know that i disconnected the Logitech C920 camera and have retired it from use with Vtuber studio. Long story short, it worked for a long period of time, like my Grounded playthrough but then had major freezing issues on Saturday June 8th. The issues were stressful on my second stream back after my break and resulted in me not streaming that day and spending almost 3 hours troubleshooting / trying to fix before deciding it's time to switch over to my Sony DSLR camera. So the Sony camera was the one I was using for facecam previously and I didn't want to move it since I wasn't sure if I was going back to face cam at some point or not. But I am happier not using face cam and would rather not buy another camera to simply not move the Sony to the vtuber camera spot. So today i was tweaking my model. The Sony camera has much better tracking and is alot more sensitive so more tweaks needed to be made. I wanted to stream in glasses and not contacts but the cameras sensitivity messes up blinking so much with glasses glare from lights. So I'm gonna have to go back to contact lenses with this camera. Spent ages trying to figure this out but it wasn't having it. That said after a few hours this morning of minor adjustment after adjutment I think i have the settings down without glasses now. The camera is positioned higher up on a tripod than my logitech was. This is due to the logitech having it's own stand that allowed it to sit atop my screen. Whereas the Sony needs to use the old tripod i was using for my ring light with the attacthment. So due to the higher up position the Sony does think i'm blinking when looking down so i tried my best to fix that BUT....when i smile my eyes close. I have tried everything to get slightly closing eyes instead but if i tweak too much it messes up blinking then so i will just have to have a closed eyes smile. I stayed patient and i think it's better now anyways

Managed to get out for a walk around the woods while the sun was out. Felt like a Jungle treck with it being muddy and overgrown. I had to jump over branches and puddles. Plus clean my shoes when I came back. Also the heavens opened with rain within 5 minutes of me getting home so I timed it well.

Well, I already have a email from a manager of one place wanting to organise a interview so that’s good 😃 Only sent the application this morning and got a email at 2PM ish. Odd they didn’t just phone me as my number was on my CV but I will respond tomorrow.

I love how the job I did before I went full time in content creation is advertising for positions. This is over 8 years ago that I worked there. They were competitive back then and had good benefits. They even payed more than minimum wage. Now….they pay minimum wage and have shaved off half the benefits and want you to do more than before. Just shows the state of things. I’ve seen multiple jobs advertising as minimum wage yet they have rolled 4 jobs into one, including a social media / marketing expert. This is for a muffin place that wanted you to figure out new tastes and flavours….eeeer that’s literally a well paying job on its own to be knowledgeable on flavours and mixing. Yet you want someone to run the shop on their own, do all your social media, and figure out new flavours? Pppfffft. Goodluck with anyone applying for minimum wage on that one. It’s been advertised for 5 months now lol I’m avoiding all of these. I just want to be a cog in the machine and to be in a team or on my own. Happy doing a basic job aslong as I get 30 or more hours a week I can make almost double than what I’m making now and have a better quality of life. Maybe we can actually catch up to the housing market and afford something. Because it feels like the prices keep going up and up and getting our own place is further out of reach than ever.

Today is the day. Got some jobs I’m applying for. That’s my focus is to apply for these jobs, around 5 in total. Not much else out there at the minute but would be nice if I can get an interview. All my clothes are ready and new shoes. Plus now I’m feeling healthier again too. Things have been tough for me motivation wise recently. What with illness after illness and struggling with streaming. I’m in a stage of depression honestly and it’s been hard. Just had no motivation. But I woke up today with some drive, so I’m taking advantage while it’s here. I also think the sun being out has helped somewhat too, so please stay sunshine 🙏 ☀️ I’m meant to be back streaming tomorrow with slime rancher 2 so I guess I will see how much this break has helped.
