I love how the job I did before I went full time in content creation is advertising for positions. This is over 8 years ago that I worked there. They were competitive back then and had good benefits. They even payed more than minimum wage. Now….they pay minimum wage and have shaved off half the benefits and want you to do more than before. Just shows the state of things. I’ve seen multiple jobs advertising as minimum wage yet they have rolled 4 jobs into one, including a social media / marketing expert. This is for a muffin place that wanted you to figure out new tastes and flavours….eeeer that’s literally a well paying job on its own to be knowledgeable on flavours and mixing. Yet you want someone to run the shop on their own, do all your social media, and figure out new flavours? Pppfffft. Goodluck with anyone applying for minimum wage on that one. It’s been advertised for 5 months now lol I’m avoiding all of these. I just want to be a cog in the machine and to be in a team or on my own. Happy doing a basic job aslong as I get 30 or more hours a week I can make almost double than what I’m making now and have a better quality of life. Maybe we can actually catch up to the housing market and afford something. Because it feels like the prices keep going up and up and getting our own place is further out of reach than ever.
