It’s Monday, welcome to a new week 😉 and to kick-start the week as usual, we have our motivational quote. It’s true, the way we view ourselves can have a huge impact on how we impact the world. For example, if you believe you’re not a strong person and what you say is wrong, how can you stand up for good in the world? 💪 😯 What if somebody in public is suffering discrimination, (e.g. racial/sexual orientation/disability), we know that the best thing to do is to intervene, stand up for the person’s rights ✅ “This individual doesn’t deserve to be treated this way”, however, if we view ourselves as ‘not enough’ we may not think we are correct or have the power to stand up and use our voices. 🎙️ We are enough, we have voices, and changes only happen when you use them. Moral of the story? Here is a hypothetical scenario: if you are sat down and if somebody is stood up on public transport wearing flamboyant clothing, and you overhear other individuals whispering slurs about them. Offer the individual your seat. Indirect support is a billion X better than silent support, because silent support changes nothing, it may as well be equal to no support at all. Be the change ❤️ <3
