Hello! Today, I visited a petting zoo! I even recorded some of the animals on video, but there were many more—I just wasn’t always in a convenient position to film, and I was very absorbed in the experience. I bought a few baskets of food at the zoo and fed and petted as many animals as I could. Of course, I didn’t go near the dangerous ones—not that it was allowed anyway. It seemed like all the animals I saw were physically and mentally healthy. There were even geese, which I’m usually afraid of, but they were friendly and well-mannered. The zoo staff was also very kind and pleasant. They were constantly making sure everything was okay and taking good care of the animals. Of course, life in a cage isn’t the same as being free, and I do worry that places like this thrive because of people like me, leading to more animals in captivity... But I sincerely hope I haven’t made things significantly worse. It was a wonderful and long day spent with animals—I’m happy and exhausted!
