I don’t like sharing this- but I’ve struggled with tobacco/nicotine since I was a kid. This is the longest I’ve gone without any form of nicotine in quite a while. and I gotta say- I’m starting to really *feel* the difference. I’m not looking for validation or anything- I just wanna share this for the folks that can relate. If you’re trying to quit. Or you know you should, but you just don’t really have the motivation right now… I gotta tell you- in my opinion, it’s worth this feeling. I can’t explain it, but it feels like my feet are on the ground more and more. Like literally, I just feel more grounded when I’m standing or walking. I don’t know if it’s my nerve endings responding better or maybe my capillaries opening up more… I don’t fuckin know… but I *know* it’s from not smoking and I *know* this feeling is worth the struggle it takes to not slip back into old, comfortable habits… I’ll *always* have those trigger moments. When I’m with the boys. When I’m having that coffee on a cool morning…. *Always.* But this feeling feels worth fighting through those moments… Anyway. That’s that. If you’re like me and you’re trying to quit an old, comfortable, not-so-good-for-you habit…. You got this. Don’t beat yourself up too bad. Let the anxiety run its course. It’s just your brain being brainy… it’ll get easier over time… And feel free to shoot me a message at 2am when the insomnia hits on day 3-4 and you’re thinking about saying fuck it and driving up to the corner store ;) …. I’ll probably be sleeping, but venting to a random fuck boy on the internet is better than giving in 💪 💪 and I’ll circle back with you in the morning to make sure you didn’t cave ;)
