Just sharing some more pics from this week… Getting out on the water is the pay off (especially when Mother Nature gifts us a full consecutive week of flat seas), but a lot of time & energy goes into prepping the boat, tackle, baitt, etc… and then, even more time goes into clean-up/maintenance and cleaning/packaging fish. Thought some of you would like to see a bit of that stuff… pics in order:
1 - snorkeling over a school of mahi (1000+ feet deep in this part of the Gulf Stream)
2 - 30 lb Cobia
3 - same Cobia
4 - B cleaning Cobia
5 - packaging fish
6 - fish fillets
7 - left over scraps from filleting fish (In another little step toward a more sustainable existence, I’ve started blending up all the leftover scraps/bloodlines from our fish fillets and using it for cat food
8 - homemade fancy feast
9 - two very satisfied kitties
10- well, you made it this far…
Tomorrow, we are doing 100 hour service on the boat. B picked up a nifty little oil suction thing that was on sale. It’s supposed to help drain the oil outta the boat motors quicker (and without making a mess), so we are excited to try that out…. and then, hoooooopefully, we find some time to get tangled up after being on the go go go all week. I’ll keep ya posted on that…
Hope you all are having a good run of the week… almost Friday 💪
