In the Five of Wands, five men appear to be fighting each other, using their wands as weapons.
However, on closer observation, their wands are raised but not striking or injuring anyone. It is as if there is no real purpose or outcome in this chaotic scene other than to create conflict and sow discord amongst the group.
Each man wears a different outfit, symbolising their diverse backgrounds and belief systems, and suggesting that, because of their differences, they cannot find harmony and common ground with one another.

I love it!! And this is so funny cuz I have never had a very good relationship to competition!! I remember anytime my family would force me to play board games where they would get SUPER INTO IT
I would literally do my BEST to try to LOSE to the best of my ability so I wouldn’t have to play anymore,
That might be just because I fucking hate board games tho 🤔🤔🤔🤔

BUUUT also like I don’t know how to like accept challenges and make them FUN you know? Once I know something is a competition and I have people who are quote on quote “challenging me for the throne” I like shrivel up into a self doubting shrimp questioning my value on everything I’ve ever done when I start comparing myself to my rivals.🤣🤣🤣
My relationship to my sister is a great example of this! 🤣
But also this is why I struggle with following other super talented musicians, when I see they’re content I don’t get inspired tho I WISH I DID.
I feel a sick underlying sense that they have beat me in competition 🤮🤮🤮
Which is super dumbbb lol.
This card today helped me become more aware of this pattern in myself so that’s good lol when you become aware of something fully is when you can change it!!
