I had just finished filming most of the scenes for the upcoming BJ video, and was out there in the sun listening to an audio book, decompressing. This terrace is so special to me. I am too anxious to start planting again! Its mid-way through spring and I just haven’t been able to begin, because I’ve had other priorities. Gardening is a massive expense, even more so because I have balconies so have to buy specialty planters made of specific materials that don’t weigh down the balconies (I definitely cannot afford a lawsuit for collapsed balcony injuring people then paying for reconstruction on a 100yo building!). Every day I am anxious to get my hands back in the dirt and the daily monitoring the health of new plant babies. Gardening has become an important part of healing for me. This year I want more varieties and to build a vertical garden boxe, even experiment with aeroponic growing for edible plants, which can have a year-round growing season. Gardening in zone 9b-10a is taking some time to learn and adapt to. It’s been so rewarding. I’m coming up on my first full year here and I’ve learned a lot. *Next goal I am saving for: lumber for building planters and a couple of trees!*
