I've been feeling it for a little while now, but my back hurts today, finally it's too hard to move and I've been lying down all day 🫠I went to therapy but it hasn't healed much 🫠I hope I'll be ready for the match.
And my stomach also hurts because I put too much hot sauce on the pizza I just ate! How unlucky 😂
The seafood pizza I ordered was supposed to arrive in 30 minutes but after waiting 30 minutes it didn't come and I had to wait another hour! Very frustrating because I was hungry 🤣
After eating and being satisfied, I realized that it is now Golden Week.
I'm sure the pizza place was busy with lots of orders 😔 sorry for the frustration. I can't afford to be hungry!
Oh yes, the stick bread we had in the US? Breadsticks? It was delicious!

Yesterday was a 6 man tag team tournament.
As I said, we lost in the first round 🤣
But I think the kids who tag teamed with me did their best.
Haru in light blue costume was very vocal and Luna in pink costume had beautiful dropkicks. Even I can't do dropkicks. Respect!
Before the match, I gave my ribbons to the girls. I posted the pictures on Twitter so you can see them!
Haru was so happy about it she cried. 😂
After that I let her keep that ribbon. I hope yesterday was a good memory for her.
I think the Maki Ito she saw as a fan and the Maki Ito she will see now as a colleague are two different people.
I am not a social person, so basically I keep quiet, and before a game, I clearly say what I think, so I may look like a scary senior 🤣

It's similar to when I was an idol and I left for Tokyo alone to become a pro wrestler.
I feel like I'm moving only with my senses 🤣
I didn't have any worries at that time, and I went to Tokyo with zero savings!
Anyway, I hated being an idol.
I didn't actually go to Tokyo to become a pro-wrestler, but to escape from my idol activities in my hometown Fukuoka.
I didn't have the courage to quit, so I told my boss, "I want to be a unique idol by being both an idol and a pro-wrestler," and ran away to Tokyo, leaving my idol status intact.
I was smart. I was able to escape to Tokyo without fighting with the boss.
And I spent about 4 years of my life lonely and poor 🤣

I have. With no friends and no money, only the warmth of bread heated in a microwave oven soothed my heart.

I came back to Japan yesterday.
After a fun match at HOODSLAM, I arrived at the hotel after midnight and was up and ready to fly at 3am.
Then I took 14 hours to get back to Japan✨.
My back and knees hurt too much! I couldn't sleep a second the whole flight. 🤣
As soon as I got back I had a blast! I slept twice.
I looked in the mirror and was surprised to see my overly tired face.
It was the first time I had been abroad for such a long period of time. I was a little nervous before I went.
I was worried whether my body would be able to keep up with the schedule of more than a month's worth of matches all taking place in half a month.
But surprisingly, I was fine. 🙆♀️
When I came back to Japan, I felt like my dream had somehow awakened.
It's not that I don't like Japan. I can read all the signs what they say and I know all the airport staff what they are talking about. This felt both reassuring and boring 😂
I would probably stay longer.
But maybe a month or two?
I can't stand not being able to go to the hair salon I go to once a month so I'm thinking 2 months at the most lol.
I will talk to the head of DDT soon.
I don't know if I can sell more in the US. But what I feel for sure is that my visibility is increasing, and I am confident that even a venue the size of AEW, which I felt was so difficult to get into, is excited about it.
This tour gave me a feeling that if I keep working hard, I can go to some new stage.

But, the food in Japan is great.
Even the cup ramen is high quality. And cheap 😭👏.

Today was AEW!
It was so much more exciting today than last time (last November)!
But my technique didn't increase, and I don't know why, perhaps I'm more well-known, or maybe it's the GCW effect?
Anyway, I was very happy! The venue loves me!

I worked hard to get to AEW, which was my dream, and my confidence was shattered at AEW.
I realized that I lacked a tremendous amount of experience anyway, living in English speaking country, how to fight against someone bigger than me, etc.
From there I continued to go to Indies, mostly to GCW.
I endured a sore back on long flights, overcame occasional flight problems with my poor English, pretended I was not jet-lagged and didn't notice anything was wrong with my body while I fought, I didn't know what to do to make GCW customers happy, and to be honest, it was tough on my physical and mental health!
But I became a member of MDK, and I think I was growing little by little, watching Nick Gage's back.
Today was the day I felt that growth.
At AEW you don’t know the card until an hour before the game starts.
Compared to Indy, the game time is very strict.
I am always in a hurry and it doesn't always go well.
But I think I completely overcame it today. It was all thanks to the mentality I developed through the indies, which is unfazed by anything that happens!
Let's work hard at what is in front of us so that we can go to AEW again.
I am sure that if I work hard at AEW, I will be well known and GCW will have the advantage of using me with my increased visibility☺️

My life changed dramatically when I found America.

I got a lot of rest today so I go today!
Well, 2days ago was a very fun day.
The morning was the first tpjw in Los Angeles.
There were many customers.
Everyone in tjpw was happy to hear the fans had a good time!
And it was the first tag team title match that I will face as a champion, but I lost.
I was quite depressed, but still had to go to the next show, GCW.
Nick Gage looked like he was having a lot of fun that day! 😂
I had planned to bring a bandana like Gage's from Japan, but realized I had forgotten it and thought I had missed my chance. But as soon as I met him he gave me a bandana! 🥹
At that moment I was so happy. I was happy that we were thinking the same thing, and I was very happy that he was looking forward to today 🥹
And he put a bandana on me. I was so happy I didn't take it off the whole time ☺️
My first experience entering with Gage was awesome. I was almost swept away as so many people came rushing in 🤣I'm a wrestler but I'm so small 😂
I could tell they were talking about this because everyone on the GCW staff was talking about something serious before the entrance. I probably would have been crushed if the staff didn't protect me. 🤣Thanks to the staff for always being so kind.
The game was also fun because it was Allie and Effy 😆
This day I was frustrated but happy because in the end it turned out to be a very good day.

When I arrived at LAX, there was a big WWE ad and the airport announcer was someone's voice (I'm not familiar with WWE, sorry).
I thought this is what it means to be a star. I love it. I wish I could be like that!
I was also envious of how popular wrestling is in America.
It is popular in Japan as well, but I think it is classified as a minor hobby compared to America.
Since I'm still jet-lagged (because I take 6 hour naps), I'll probably go to the gym at midnight again today.☹️

I enjoyed Canada yesterday and today.
I had very good steak, pizza and sashimi as well as Canadian food!
Against Canadian sashimi I was testing. I was trying to see if the quality of the sashimi was the same as in Japan 😏
After trying it, the quality is the same as in Japan! It was very tasty!
Probably the first time I had such good sashimi abroad.
The promoter, Rob, took me to a very nice restaurant 🤩
Then we went to a famous cake shop, went to a vintage clothing store, went to a souvenir shop to get maple syrup, and had a great time.

It was a good day. It was cold outside, but I was touched by the warmth of the people the whole time.

Sometimes I think.
When I was a student, when I was idle, I didn't do well all the time. Everyday I was thinking about the meaning of life. Every time an express train passed by, I thought I should jump off.
But then I met pro wrestling, and for the first time, everyone turned their attention to me. For the first time, people began to need me.
Now I travel the world, experiencing new languages, new landscapes, new cultures, and new relationships.
It makes me nervous sometimes, but it all works out in the end!

Yesterday was a match. There is a Krispy Kreme doughnut near the venue yesterday, so I ate it before the game. I was able to play the game with a happy feeling. lol
Today I went to body maintenance treatment in the morning and now I am on my way to the airport!
I've learned to pack much faster. I used to hate it so much that I felt like my head was going to explode!
Still, every flight is still stressful😭
I'm trying to find ways to make it less stressful. My heart also cries to carry a very heavy suitcase to get to the airport.
So this time I am heading there by a special train of sorts! The price is a bit high and the chairs are fluffy. The view from the window is great😇
I hope for a good expedition again. This time we will be abroad for half a month.
I hope there will be no happenings that make me want to cry like last time!

Today was my last day off before my overseas expedition, so I went to see the cherry blossoms. I suddenly thought of going to see them, so I went alone 🌸🥹
I've been having a bit of a bad day lately and I've been feeling a bit down, but I'm fine now.
By the time I get back from the US, the cherry blossoms will be gone and it was a good idea 🫠
I indulge myself a lot when I'm having a bad day.
I order my favorite food at Uber without worrying about the time, I sleep as much as I want, I get depressed as much as I want, and anyway, I do the things I like to do that I wouldn't be able to do on a daily basis to get my energy back 💪🏻

I woke up today and slept for 12 hours.

Only 2 more days until the big match. Getting very excited! Already had a strategy meeting with Yamashita 😏.
I have more interviews when the big match is approaching, and yesterday was one of the two interviews I had.
The interviewer didn't show up when it was time and I ended up losing it without any contact 😟.
This is not the way to do things as an adult! Not only me, but the translation staff was waiting for me ☹️
The other one turned out to be interesting, just wait for it to be uploaded 😆.
Today. I met Ryo Mizunami for various reasons. She was my opponent in a single match at my first AEW tournament! It was nice to talk to her even if it was only for a little while 😆.

Yesterday, I had a fitting for a new outfit and then had Genghis Khan with a friend.
Is Genghis Khan only popular in Japan?
I like it so much that I choose the all-you-can-eat course and eat it like crazy 🤣🐏.
I also eat a lot of junk food and snacks but I don't gain much weight.
Costume makers are also amazed at how thin I am.
It's like I look bigger in the ring.
That's why all the finished costumes were made bigger, and I had to redo them all. 😂
I am planning to have it done by this Saturday, but after that I will drop it off and have it made again.
So it's my current costume while on tour in the US! Sorry 😭

Recently I've been wondering if I should buy a Nintendo Switch.
Right after the coronavirus started I bought a switch.
I was playing Animal Crossing, but I quickly got bored with it and sold it within 3 months.
But lately I've been traveling back and forth between the U.S. and Japan more and more, and the time on the plane is killing me!
Do you think a switch would distract me from my leisure time? I thought 🤔💭...
I'm only interested in Splatoon and Pokemon. ☹️ I'll probably get bored of those two soon too.
As for Pokemon, I usually finish it in a day 😂
Any recommendations for any Switch games?
I'm hoping it's something I can play for the long haul!
Or any other game that isn't switch, ok! Something portable!

I have to prep my opponent for my title match next week.
I'm often told my wrestling sucks lol but I always try my best 😂.
I always check out my opponent's matches on YouTube to see if they have any moves that I don't understand.
If there is a technique I don't understand, I watch it over and over to learn how it works.
Even after all that, sometimes I still feel a little insecure.
Maybe I am a little negative.
It's not that I don't have confidence, but I believe that excessive confidence stops growth.
So maybe I deliberately adjust myself to not be satisfied.

Still, there were a lot of fun things that happened.
The match with LuFisto was very tough but she was very sweet.
I gave her some Japanese sweets 🎁🎀
Nick Gage was charismatic that day. He complimented me on the mic after the match, which was nice!
And the 6 man tag team on Sunday was a hoot!
Tag team with Rina and Veny is very rare. You won't see it in Japan!

All the staff welcomed me with open arms.

After that, an ice cream man came to deliver MAKI ice cream 😆
I love it because I eat ice cream every day and it was so nice to see my print on the lid 🥰 so yummy~!
After that we had an autograph session and the amount of autographs I signed was insane!
Probably the first time I've signed that many 😂

Sorry for not updating for a while.
I have arrived in Japan🇯🇵
This time, it was actually the worst expedition ever.
First of all, I was supposed to go from Japan to Newark via Detroit. But when I arrived in Detroit, it snowed heavily! So we were delayed.
After waiting for hours, the flight was canceled.
It was 10pm on a Friday there.
The show was the next day and I needed to be at the venue by 6pm at the latest, but the flight that was changed to one leaving at 8pm!
I will not make it in time!
I went to talk to the staff but there was a very long line.
This was my first time in this case and I didn't know what to do, it was so stressful.
I did my best to wait and asked the staff member in childish English. Then he told me that there is only 8pm flight tomorrow.
I talked to the owner of GCW about it and the owner was heartbroken too 😂
I decided to just go get my suitcase and waited for hours but the suitcase never appeared😂
At this point the time was over 11pm.
There was also a long line at the counter regarding suitcases and I waited for about an hour.
They told me it was ok because they would take my suitcase on the changed flight (8pm to Newark).
Next I wondered if I should go to a hotel. Do I sleep at the airport or go to a hotel? All the hotels were full and the only place I could find was an hour away from the airport.
But I have a bitter memory of losing my cell phone in the US.
If I slept at the airport and something was taken, it would be even worse. I was too sleepy and my head hurt, but I made up my mind to go to the hotel. I called Uber Taxi.
There are about three places where cars stop, I didn't know where the cab I called was, I was too tired to understand English, and I missed the cab.
This is where I really broke down and almost cried😂 I was hungry and cold 😂
Then once I sat down on a chair and took a break, I calmed down again and called for a cab.
This time I was able to get a ride and arrived at the hotel at 4am.
When I woke up in the morning my flight had been changed again and I was on a flight to Newark at 2pm.
I was relieved to know that I could make it to the show just in time.
When I was checking in, the owner of GCW had changed my flight from Newark to Philadelphia 😅
The staff told me yesterday that my suitcase was on the flight going to Newark, so I knew my suitcase would not be delivered to Philadelphia.
I arrived in Philadelphia and as expected, the suitcase did not arrive. So the GCW staff went to Newark to pick it up 😭 Thank you!
My suitcase and I managed to arrive 30 minutes before the venue and the game started.
My heart was racing the whole time I arrived and my hands were sweating the whole time.
I never want to have this kind of trouble again 😂
I'd better give myself a little extra time to travel to the US in cold weather in case there's trouble 😭.
The flight home was smooth. I'm tired today so I'm going to sleep now 🫠 It was a tough expedition.
