The balance of an inversion changes drastically when you turn it into a backbend. This Scorpion pose requires not only spinal flexibility, but massive strength and engagement through the front of the body. This is major abdominal work to keep the spine protected from over-bending. The easiest way to get into an inversion from here isn't to blast your core and raise your legs straight, it's actually to bend your knees. This will change your center of gravity and make it easier to get your legs above your head! 🔥
