Song Sunday: Regluing You by The Color Bars This is more of an art video than a sexy video, but I wanted to share it with y'all anyway 🥰 It’s up for interpretation whether this dance represents the one regluing or the one being reglued 👀 ❤️ . ❤️ . ❤️ . ❤️ Special Interest Rant As a performance artist, I've been deeply influenced by Thom Yorke (of Radiohead) and David Byrne (of Talking Heads) ever since I can remember. I love their music videos, live performance recordings, side projects, everything. I also love the commitment to body humor of comedians like Jim Carrey and Kate McKinnon; I really admire when people can "commit to the bit" and extend their body language WAY past "normal" for a character. One of my dreams is to act in music videos, especially ones like Ingenue by Atoms for Peace and Elastic Heart by Sia (yes, I have Big Opinions about Sia and her exploitation film, but I still like her early music videos. Enjoyment and criticism are not mutually exclusive). I just really love the extremes of human expression, and something just *feels good* about extending myself in that way. Dance routines like this help me scratch that performance art itch while also working on my proprioception 😅 I struggle with locating my midsection and thighs in space in my mind, but it’s a lot easier when I'm moving. I've noticed that I bump into things a lot less frequently when I'm dancing more often 😂
