I walked into the spa feeling a little tight in knots after a week of stress, and immediately the soothing scent of lavender hit me like a breath of fresh air. The masseuse, a total sweetheart, led me into a cozy room filled with dim lights and quiet music. I jumped on the table, wrapped myself in the fluffy robe she gave me, and got ready for some serious treatment. She pulled out all the trouble spots I didn't even know I had. At one point, I swear I heard my body say "thank you" with every stroke. By the time the session was over, I was practically floating out of the spa. My body felt like it had been rebooted, like hitting the "refresh" button on a tired shower. It was a complete recharge, a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
