I got some really not so great news last week that threw me for a loop. Turns out I'm sicker than I thought. After pursuing a diagnosis for two decades and going through dozens of doctors, this is extremely validating while also being really, really hard to stomach.
Surgery is scheduled for November 27. I will likely be taking most, if not all, of December away to recover. In the meantime, the treatments I've been prescribed to alleviate some of my symptoms have only made me sicker. Being hot on the internet is hard when you're actively at war with your meatsuit every day.
Any and all support is appreciated. I am facing some really hard decisions and even harder days and without getting too sad on main, I'm finding myself wondering if the light at the end of the tunnel is even real. I'm grieving a future that is no longer attainable, and a past I didn't appreciate while I had it.
