Today was a cold day and we had people on and off the farm so I had to at least have trousers on so that my coat could cover my top half. That's the farmers rule if there are visitors to the farm then clothes are to be worn. When the visitors had gone to look at some of the animals away from the stable block I risked taking my coat off so I could get my chores done in aore comfortable way for me.
I'd finished mucking out some of the stables and stopped to have a look over one of the stable doors done of the horses was having a lie down. I was about to go in and sit next to it and take a break for a few minutes but Joe came round the corner of the stable yard. He tutted at me 'You better not let father see you like that when we have people on the farm.'
I jumped when he spoke to me I thought he had gone off with them and the yard was free of people. He walked closer and I went to step away to go and get my coat and start mucking out the next stable but he raised his voice and said 'Stay there.' I froze as he walked closer I wondered what he was going to do.
