And I like it. Not because of the pink balloons or the stuffed bears. But because I love the idea—one day a year when people openly express their feelings, without being afraid of being too soft, too sentimental, too in love.
But here’s the thing - I never really celebrated February 14th. It was never a big deal. Just another day, sometimes with chocolate in my hands, sometimes without 🙃
Would I love to experience it for real? Yes. Would I love to receive gifts or see someone nervously choosing the right words for a card? Yes.
