Added 2022-08-28 01:08:48 +0000 UTCThis weekend I climbed active volcano! It was easily my favourite hike I’ve done here and maybe ever! It was a long one took maybe 8/9 hrs, totally worth it though! I am rarely floored by how beautiful something is but this mountain did, absolutely otherworldly! In the last pic that bluefire you see? Is one of the only place in the world is the only place you can see it on this entire planet, it was such a spectacle the picture does not do it justice, it was deep in the crater, 600° sulphuric gases releasing from the volcano at extremely high pressures and large amounts and hitting the cold air creating a beautiful blue flame for us all to witness one hour before sunrise! So cool right? I also got the opportunity to explore coffee bean plantations and try local coffee that’s hand roasted and picked, it was really strong but really flavourful bitter coffee. I’m leaving tomorrow to head to the UK and then to Florida,
