I love that feeling of disconnection, when the world is reduced to the lights and sounds of the game. But suddenly, I feel a glance. I look up, just for a moment, and there you are, hiding in the door frame. You are my stepbrother's friend, but your expression is very different from usual. You stare at me, as if you can't look away. I'm not surprised, because I've already noticed how you look at me when you think I don't see you.
