Okay so I have to share this with you because I find it to be funny and it's an important discovery for me as a person who is always trying to grow and learn more about themselves.
I was raised in a very conservative cult. It was basically hell and I have a lot of trauma from spending years inside of the community but here's the interesting part...magic and the belief of magic was not allowed within the cult. So we didn't read books with magic, didn't go to magic shows in the park, or ever watch Disney movies because of the magic within them.
Now, despite my parents best efforts, I'm pretty sure that I've spent my life trying to become a witch and I am just now realizing it🤣🤣
I've collected Crystals, rocks, feathers, bones, exoskeletons, shells, my whole life.
When I was in 7th grade we were assigned an essay about any religion we wanted. I have no idea how I learned about Wicca but I was obsessed!!!!
I got in trouble for the assignment because apparently Wicca isn't a religion because it's based on magic🤦♀️
Anyways, even today I am attracted to witchy things. My friends call me a thrift witch!
I can thrift just about anything you need in a day...but usually within minutes.
But my powers of manifestation, I am learning, go far beyond that! I can't even begin to explain to you how many things, people, experiences, jobs, roles, I have been able to manifest into my life.
I recently added a book to my wishlist because I love to forage and I thought it was an identification book for herbs and plants. One of my lovely subscribers purchased the book and upon it's arrival I learned that it was an Oracle deck! I learned later that your first deck is supposed to be a gift...so somehow I covered that, lol.
I have so so much more that I would love to share with you as I learn more about myself and my role in this new world.
But all that to say, when I moved last time, a friend said to me, "Now don't go turning into a witch! All the girls who move to (city) turn into witches!"
And at that time I laughed, but as I looked at my outfit in the mirror today, I had to laugh again.
I'm a black hat away from looking like a full blown witch and I'm here for it🤣
