Sometimes they can have added intimacy because I'm most confident taking certain photos without anyone in the room. Sometimes I get dressed up for these, but I find myself lazier when doing this. Professionally shot images get exactly what I'm trying to photograph in focus. I tend to keep fan requests in mind at shoots because I reference my notes. I also plan these shoots out, so they tend to be more glamorous.
