Added 2022-06-28 10:47:38 +0000 UTCI have been working on an analog selfportrait series that to me feels very inquisitive into my being, my personality and perhaps my beliefs as well. A series that is searching for something with an edge to it, something uncomfortable even at times, something that pushes and expresses... I'm often not sure yet what it is. I am chasing a feeling that is very subtle and nuanced and somehow buried within myself. The feeling definitely has to do with the darker side of emotions... hence also why I am using this very contrasting and rich black and white film for it. I feel it suits perfectly for the mood and atmosphere I am trying to bring forth I am definitely curious, to see where this series will go and what will come out with it. One thing I know for sure is that it feels therapeutic and freeing to work on this series, little by little...
