The surgery I had has a full year recovery process, this means I won’t be out of commission for a year, just means it takes that long for everything to settle. I really don’t think people understand the caliber of this surgery I had and how dangerous it actually is to perform. I had to seek a very specific surgeon who told me I should have gotten this done over a decade ago due to how ducked up my TMJ’s were at such a yung age. The surgery has costed me over $100,000 due to the nature of how rare my disease is and how difficult and complex of a surgery it is. This is the kind of procedure that surgeons do not want to perform because it is so dangerous, I had to go in to extreme medical debt to take care of this. Surgeons will force patients to go through all conservative measures in order to refrain from performing what I just went through. Needless to say, my life has completely changed forever now, my life will never be the same. I will eventually need to get another joint replacement in my face in the next 20 years as there isn’t enough medical documentation on how long these TMJ prosthetics last because this surgery was only invented 25 YEARS AGO, It was pioneered by a man named Larry Wolford and thanks to 3D printing this surgery is even possible. My life is fucking crazy lol. Thank you guys for supporting me on this new endeavour in my life, it’s been a wild ride so far and it’s only going to get crazier from here on out.
