I dunno about anyone else here….but I would also report him. This to me is a form of bullying. You don’t destroy someone else’s property like this and then try to say it’s a prank. He even laughed it off and her coworkers didn’t support her in wanting him to replace the book. This is bullying. I’m sorry but I’m someone who hates people who write off bullying as a prank. They think any bad behaviour can be written off like it’s just for fun or a joke. A prank isn’t something that hurts people this way or their property. Maybe that’s just me. Never pulled a prank on someone, never had the desire to. But this example screams of bullying behaviour in schools on those teen dramas. What if the book was special? Given to them by a passed family member? Signed by the author? Or just a fave book from childhood? Regardless, it’s still vandalism of property. As for the workplace saying she should have realised something like this could happen. Shame on them. You don’t expect a full grow man to act like a schoolyard bully like this. He should be punished in work and anymore antics like this, fired. Why is he pulling pranks at his age, grow the F up. If it isn’t stopped now he will only get worse. He’s already destroying property, what next? It will escalate. That’s the thing with people that prank others. They always have to push and top the last prank. It will just get worse from here. That’s why I hate bullies masquerading as pranksters.
