RANT TIME! I picked up Tales from the Sea of Thieves from a independant seller on ebay for £11.48 The book was described as "good" Sadly this is not what i would consider good at all. While the book overall is meant to have a aged look to it, i could tell the large white marks were not part of it. They are deep and engraved, like a kid has leant paper on top of the book to draw or something..... I even looked at videos on youtube and other examples of pictures, and yup. Those large white deep scratches on the front and back are not part of the aged look. If they were small marks, i would of expected it but these are large and deep across both the back and front covers. Ontop of this, inside there are multiple bent over corners on the pages.... Now, i dunno about anyone else reading this but.....this is not "good" condition right? I would personally say heavily used is more accurate. So a reminder, I payed £11.48 for this book in "good" condition. I try my best to support small companies when i can and save myself a few quid in the process. It's a win win...but in this situation, I could of gotten the book new for £15 delivered....So this damage puts a sour taste in the mouth. I reached out to the seller of course. They tried to gaslight me that these marks are part of the aged design and told me to open a return. I feel like this was them trying to weasel out of paying return costs. I even said in the original contact i would be happy with a partial refund. I replied providing both video and photo evidence that the marks and bent pages are not part of the books design. I won't be gaslight thanks. So now i've opened a return and marked it as damaged which means when they say yes to the return they have to pay return costs. Sorry but i'm not paying to send it back, small company be damned. You miss labeled the book as "good" when it is damaged. Don't try to gaslight me. (more in reply comment)
