This guy was different. He was wearing a full-face mask, like the kind you'd see in a movie. It was mysterious and immediately made John curious. The masked man was really built, muscular and confident, like a superhero from a comic book. John couldn't help but wonder who he was and why he was wearing that mask. It made John feel like he was in the middle of an exciting story. As he watched the man and the ocean waves, John hoped that maybe one day they'd end up talking and he could find out more about this intriguing stranger. Gathering his courage, John decided he had to talk to this intriguing stranger. As an introvert, he was usually super shy, but something about this man made him want to break out of his shell. With his heart pounding, he walked over and said, "Hey, um, I couldn't help but notice how cool your mask looks. You've got a really awesome vibe." The masked man looked down at him and laughed, not the friendly kind of laugh but something colder. "Cool vibe, huh? If you're so impressed, why don't you just sit down there," he pointed to a spot near his feet, "and admire from a distance?" The words stung, and John felt embarrassed. But as he sat at the masked man's feet, he felt a strange sense of contentment.
