My friends call it **Sketch'n'play** because it is hosted by two artists that draw while riggers and models perform. Also, it was the first time with a woman for the rigger tying me, so there was discovery for both, she was lovely. I've seen it done before a few times but I needed to feel ready to try, I'm sure that's understandable. My hair was down at first, which quickly got in the way of the shoulder knots. I suggested to grab the hairtie I brought, but silly me forgot there were a lot of ropes in the room, so that's what she used to do the bun on my head. Now I don't know how long you think these usually go for, but this session lasted a whole hour for me, from the first knot to being fully released, which is a lot for a first timer I've been told. The most acrobatic sessions I got to see them do, they would maintain the same painful & fully suspended position for around 20 minutes. Let's keep in mind I was only half-suspended, we thought it would be a good compromise to start with. Maybe that's why my friends were so happy with the sketches they did, they got a lot of time to work on it 😂 The whole thing felt very contemplative, I really enjoyed losing control, letting go and not feeling the time passing by. The first thing I asked when released was how long it lasted, because I had no idea if it was 30min or 3 hours.
