Your breath exhales in a visible cloud in front of you, and you shiver slightly as you approach, your footsteps on the marble floor echoing as you walk toward her. They said it was a statue but even from here she looks so real. You can see the warmth of her skin and the curls in her hair, and each time you blink you could swear she's moved, infinitesimally. You're close enough to touch her now, and her skin is cold and hard on your fingertips, small droplets of water running down her hip, the smooth curves of her body. You circle the statue, the creature, the goddess- just one look at her face, and you'll leave, your fingers already aching with cold from where they touched her skin. But there, you see her face, you see her eyes, and you see them blink and now it is you that is frozen, feet cemented to the floor, eyes wide in shock, heart beating rapidly in your chest."
