* And now, a short digression about fantasy.
Yes, I really am a real librarian. I work at a library, and I love my job. I take it seriously and I am always professional at work. It would be DEEPLY unprofessional of me to speak to a patron about sexual matters, or even to comment on their book choices. That would be an invasion of their privacy! So I would never do this in real life. But fantasies are fun, and that’s what this is: a fantasy!
By the same token, I very rarely get hit on by a patron at my library. And that is how it should be. We all deserve to do our jobs, uninterrupted and without fear of harassment. But I’m sure men think sexual thoughts about me and that’s fine, (it’s none of my business what they do in the privacy of their own mind, that’s their fantasy space) but they are not allowed to proposition me at my job.
