Added 2024-08-08 05:34:54 +0000 UTCI just finished this random movie I stumbled upon-Downtown Owl. I have to admit, it had me entranced. I couldn’t tell you why but I just really enjoyed the vibe it gave me.
Every once in a while, a film will do that for me, cast a spell on me. It’s usually something a bit obscure and maybe arthouse but invariably it gets horrible reviews ha!
Years ago I watched The Mountain Between Us. It has two of my most favorite actors and it totally mesmerized me in the best way. Afterwards I was taken aback to see all the horrible reviews.
It was an eye opening moment of life for me. Suddenly I clearly saw, in a way I never had, that I am definitely a bit obscure and arthouse *myself* haha! Not everyone will appreciate me. But those who do, they really do! What more can a person ask for? ✨
