Reza a lenda que um cardume de carpas nadou pelo rio Amarelo até alcançar uma cachoeira. Ao chegar lá, grande parte desistiu de seguir em frente, era muito mais fácil seguir o fluxo do rio.
Mas um grupo específico não se conformou e se recusou a desistir, esse grupo foi chamado de Koi, e cada Koi se esforçou o máximo que podia saltando sob as águas pra chegar ao topo das cataratas. Jogavam seus corpos no ar e caíam de novo na água.
Todo esse barulho chamou a atenção dos demônios locais que riam compulsivamente dos esforços das pobres carpas e por maldade aumentaram a altura das quedas.
Mas uma Koi persistiu, ela se manteve firme por 100 anos, até que num dia, com um salto heróico, ela conseguiu, chegou no topo das cataratas.
Os deuses sorriram em aprovação, e transformaram a Koi exausta num poderoso dragão dourado brilhante. Que se tornou um símbolo de poder e força. Sempre que uma Koi encontra força e coragem pra pular as cataratas  ela tbm se torna um dragão celestial.

All this noise took the local demons attention that laughed compulsively of the effort of the poor carps and for mean reasons grow up the high of the falls.
But koi resisted, she keep it straight for 100 years, till one day, in a heroic jump, she got it, she arive the top of the catarics.
The goddsses smiled in aprovel, and tranformed exausted koi in a powerful shinny gold dragon. That become a simble of power and straigh. Every time a Koi find straigh and courage to jump the catarics they become a celestial dragon too.
