Added 2023-05-03 04:33:46 +0000 UTCI just ate a loaded sandwich that had lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, grilled chicken, and homemade avocado oil mayo with lots of pepper. I toasted it on each side so the bread was nice, crispy and buttery. I had to stand over the sink as with each bite, the juice from the tomatoes ran down my forearm. It was truly a holy experience. The flavors and textures went together so beautifully I had to thank god for blessing me with this amazing food. What’s the takeaway? I guess we should all be grateful for the amazing little things in life and the older I get the less I take for granted. So next time you’re eating something so simple as a “stupid” sandwich make sure to savor it. Life is fucking hard but at least we have sandwiches. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.
