A bunch of different ways to feel about being 41 weeks pregnant! If you're interested in a medical update, read below! 41 Weeks Pregnant The last weeks of pregnancy have been tricky with two main issues preventing me from doing much of anything. At our 38 week appointment, we were told that the baby was too small and that I needed to eat more. This wouldn't have been an issue except for the fact that I have had trouble keeping food down the entire third trimester. We worked around the clock to try to get more calories in my body for what we thought would be the last two weeks of pregnancy. Now that I am one week past my due date, the weight of the baby is no longer an issue, but eating remains a chore and vomiting is a daily reality for me. I am also dealing with symphysis pubis dysfunction due to the position of the baby. There isn't much we can do because the baby is already completely descended. When labor comes, I will only have to wait for the cervi X (yes, OF says that's a banned word - fuck them!) to dilate in order to push because the other part of labor (baby descending) is done. You can feel the head of the baby in my vaginal canal and it is blocking my cervi X so that it isn't even possible to check dilation at this point. I am working with a structural integrationist every 2-3 days to help keep my hips and pelvis bones even, but the baby's head pushes everything out of alignment constantly. I can barely walk. I rely on Jason for absolutely everything and I am so grateful for him and the sacrifices he is making to help this baby come into this world. We have no concern about delivering at home, as this is technically not a big deal, it's just extremely painful for me. Thank you for your continued support and love throughout this process.
