Added 2022-04-13 22:05:25 +0000 UTC✨***Coconut facts***✨ 🥥 Coconuts are used for their water, oil, milk & delicious meat 🥥They contain protein, several important minerals like manganese, iron & copper, and small amounts of B vitamins 🥥Coconuts are a high fat fruit deriving from coconut palm 🥥Coconut palms originated in Southeast Asia & are found all over the globe 🥥Much of the fat in coconut is in the form of medium-chain triglycerides - (Your body metabolizes MCTs differently than other types of fats, absorbing them directly from your small intestine and rapidly using them for energy ( I recommend doing your own research to look further into this and also the studies being developed about people with obesity obtaining fat from MCT’s rather than alternative fat sources )) 🥥they contain powerful antioxidants: gallic acid caffeic acid salicylic acid p-coumaric acid 🥥They have antibacterial properties, & moisturizing properties to help prevent skin oxidation, and thus are used for lotion and as mouthwash even!
