It's time to challenge this outdated tradition. Elevating a woman's marital status as part of her title reinforces the idea that her worth is tied to her relationship status. Meanwhile, men are simply "Mr.," with no such qualification needed. Why the double standard? Why does society feel the need to know a woman's marital status but not a man's?
