So here we are back in lockdown, not unexpected but still disappointing. I thought I would start how I mean to go on. A daily walk, fasting, no alcohol and camming most of the day, starting very early a couple of days.
What have I managed up to now, one walk, no fasting, lots of alcohol, camming interrupted with one thing or another and not being able to get out of bed before 6 o’clock. I blame the alcohol, there is loads left over from Christmas and I thought putting it all in the shed at the bottom of a soggy garden would keep me from drinking it. Not a chance, last evening saw me in my sloppy’s donning my big arctic coat and red wellies and sprinting through the muddy long grass (I never got round to giving it its last mow) and breaking my nails wrestling the door of the shed open. I gets inside and realise dusk and sheds = very dark interiors, feeling my way over gardening paraphernalia, bags of compost and god knows what else, are spiders active this time of year?
Any way I found the bag and stuck my hand in and grabbed the first bottle to hand, Gin, that will do nicely thank you very much.
So that’s will power out the window.
