I also received my scripts for the surgery (& I’ll go through each one & what it does). My pre op is 7 days before the procedure!! PERCOCET: this is for the pain. I got the generic version called oxycodon-acetaminophen. I’ll be taking these as needed for pain although I tend to hate how pain pills feel so I may not even use them...we’ll see! KEFLEX: antibiotic. My generic version is called Cephalexin. I’ll take these 4 times a dayfollowing the surgery. These are strong. This is just to ensure there will be no infection. These along with the oxycodon can make you stomach upset so I was prescribed 2 nausea medicines. SCOPOLAMINE PATCH: for nausea. I’ll put the patch behind my ear the night before my surgery. It will help with nausea PHENERGAN: nausea pills. Generic is called promethazine. This is in case I need more help with my nausea. It has awful side effects so this will be a last resort for me.
