**What are the biggest challenges of a D/s dynamic?**
SD - Keeping it fresh and making sure you take the time to communicate what you want. You may have a scenario in your head that you want to do, but unless you take the time to discuss it together it won’t become a reality.
MV - Maintenance of a D/s takes a lot of work and a commitment to keeping an open dialogue.
**What’s the most important aspect of being a good Dom?**
SD - Communication and respect. The Dom is there to elevate the sub’s experience and build the confidence of the sub so they feel like they can push themselves and try new things. Without good communication or understanding off the sub’s limits & boundaries you’re not going to have a good experience.
MV - Being a good Dom is about being honest, communicating well and being respectful of your partner.
**What is the worst mistake you have made as a Dom?**
SD - I think taking myself too seriously. You have to have a sense of humour as something is bound to go a bit wrong at some stage.
MV - Biggest mistake would have been forgetting about aftercare for myself.
**What makes a good sub?**
SD - The same things that make a good dom. Communication and honesty. You don't want a sub who is going to blindly do everything their Dom tells them. They need to understand and set boundaries and be clear what it is they are looking for.
MV - The key to being a good sub is being honest with your partner and yourself. Not hiding your feeling and needs.
