if you aren’t testing for MGEN in additional to other regular std+sti testing, you should be!! while travelling to the states, i learned a lot on what MGEN is, bc i originally didn’t care to know until i tested positive. it is a relatively new sti that only has just been labelled as one because it can only be sexually transmitted, but it categorized separately from all other STI’s because of its uniqueness. because of the frequent outbreaks in the U.S it’s highlighted at testing clinics, but here in canada it’s almost completely unheard of. after visiting my local doctor to pickup the medication for treatment, she asked ME what mgen was, which goes to show just how uneducated these doctors are on the infection.

MGEN is a bacterial infection that takes place in the urinary tract, with frequent UTI’s (bladder infection) being a leading symptom. this is the only, if not one of the only sti’s that CAN clear on its own without treatment (although it’s not guaranteed and most people still need treatment, such as me).

if anyone knows me personally or have kept up to date with my other socials, you will know how seriously i take getting frequent testing and putting my health+safety first! the fact i had been asking my doctors for so long what was wrong with me, and they wouldn’t even have been educated on MGEN themselves in order to ever educate ME, scares me. why is it that i have been going to get tested for ALL std’s and sti’s, yet one visit outside my country and all of a sudden i have some mysterious sti unheard of in my country? you can’t even make this up like it’s actually straight bullshit, but we gotta make the most out of the situation right?

so for the next few weeks while @u421067315 and i undergo treatment (we take meds for 2 weeks, then get retested n wait on results up to a week after), we arent able to have sex or oral, because there are cases where one person may clear and the others first round of meds may not work, which makes it a risk of giving each other the infection once again in the middle of treatment. until we both retest negative, sex will be off limits!! so i bounced on his cock nice n good before starting the meds, n now the sex wait begins😫 but don’t worry!! just because we can’t have sex or oral, doesn’t mean we can’t come up with other ideas for the time being… and the fact we both so desperately want to fuck each other is gonna make this kinda hot lowkey😭
