Personally, I’ve definitely proposed the idea of “taking a break from the tradition” each year but my partner’s family definitely doesn’t want to follow that, despite the financial trouble we find ourselves in. My side of the family agrees with me, though we still value the aspect of coming together and spending time with one another. Do you guys see through the commercial tendencies of this holiday and still celebrate? Do you just like the idea of spending time with loved ones? Or do you see this season as just another season, like all the rest?
