Added 2023-08-17 21:26:34 +0000 UTCthe giver of stars jojo moyes you know in anne with an e (i haven’t seen the show) when she goes “oh how i love being a woman!” i had that voice in my head the whole time while reading this both sincerely and ironically. i’ve been reading too many books with terrible couplings lately it was so refreshing to finally have some good ships. there’s so many cute couples in this one to swoon over. it’s not really a romance tho it’s much more about women’s friendships and the importance of literature and of education in general. she also focuses on class struggles specific to mining towns. depression era historical fiction about eleanor roosevelt’s / the WPA’s packhorse librarians. the best murder weapon ever written. 9/10 would be 10/10 if it was gayer. this is the same author as me before you and i think this one’s even better. and somehow made me cry even more i can not even read the first line of the amy lowell poem this is titled after without bursting into tears
