At first they start with a longer bar then after it heals u go back in to shorten the bar and it looks better with the balls laying on the skin no bar showing. Supposedly it takes over a month though to heal but I haven't gotten any swelling or anything I think it's already mostly healed. I tend to heal super quickly when I got my thigh tattoo I didn't even scab over I don't get sick and I don't have any allergies. I take after my dad's native Indian genes not really my mom's side she does have allergies and gets sick.
