I know a lot of people from colder areas thought we were being dramatic but it was kinda traumatizing. Texas’s infrastructure and homes aren’t built the same way as colder places so it was really brutal. Like people literally died. I personally lost power for 4 days and water for 7. I was fortunate that my ex (not ex at the time) was from the north and had experience with that stuff but I would’ve been in big trouble if I was on my own. I had to cook over a fire on a cast iron skillet like a goddamn pioneer lol. I do have some fond memories from the experience because it was so unique and I got to feel like a survivalist, but keep useless southerners in your thoughts today 😅 I have more skills to deal with this stuff myself than I did this time last year but I’m not really looking forward to losing power I don’t wanna be a total downer, these are some fun photos from last year that bring me some laughs to see Wish me luck, hopefully it’s nothing
