Added 2022-10-03 19:05:44 +0000 UTCSo, here's an update and an explanation of my absence: At the beginning of this year, I requested 6 months off from my job to finally travel and do the things I wanted to do. About 2 weeks after my vacation started, my mom informed us that she has a very uncommon cancer. The timing worked out for my time off to be able to drive her to her appointments and keep notes for her when I was in the state. Around May/June her cancer began to shrink with, so I came back to work a little early to have money when she needed it. About 3 days after coming back to work, her body stopped responding to radiation and the cancer tripled in size. My mom is now in need of surgery, but now that I've returned to work, I have less time to spend with them. My sister is still maturing and taking most of this pretty hard, so my absence has been to spend more family time. I will try to post on here sometimes, but know it's not my main priority. I normally am all for messaging everyone back, but it's very exhausting. I do appreciate all of you on here and most of you are very supportive, but I will most likely not respond to most messages for now.
